Coram Clinical Trials
Coram's clinical research arm, Coram Clinical Trials, contracts with manufacturers to provide key project management and clinical services to support all phases of clinical trials including pre- and post-market surveillance and quality of life data collection. These relationships position Coram at the forefront of new product information including drug development, new drug information, manufacturer sponsored patient assistance programs, and new drugs (the newly released subcutaneous Ig product, Hizentra™, as an example). This advanced participation and visibility allows Coram's clinical teams the ability to help develop practical field based protocols with an emphasis on clinical outcomes and cost savings measures, both of which are hallmarks of the Clear Path Patient Logic™ Programs.
Considering the number of new drug applications, and the resultant number of new drug approvals, we closely monitor information on new drugs under investigation. Drugs ranging from Phase 1 to Phase IV are reviewed monthly and quarterly. As potential new drugs achieve the Phase III stage they are reviewed to identify those which are included in the Specialty category and which have the potential to provide new treatment options for your membership.
Coram regularly reviews pharmaceutical manufacturer pipelines, and often participates in clinical trials with new products prelaunch. Coram looks for the appropriate therapies and drug candidates that fit the Specialty Pharmacy delivery model.
